Lira Inflation-Adjusted Trip Budget

Your 2022 trip budget in 2026 lira — the real number.

What this solves

Every Turkish travel article older than 18 months has stale prices. The lira's purchasing power fell ~70% from 2021 to 2024 (TÜFE cumulative), and the official consumer inflation rate hit ~85% in October 2022. A guide from 2019 telling you "a meal is ₺30" is now off by 10× or more. This tool converts an old trip budget to its real 2026 lira equivalent, using actual TÜFE data.

FAQ

Where does the TÜFE data come from?

TÜİK (Turkish Statistical Institute) publishes monthly TÜFE. Annual averages used in this tool.

Is the dollar a better reference?

For most items, yes — what tourists actually pay scales with the USD/EUR rate. But hotel minimums and labour-linked items follow lira inflation.

Should I budget in EUR or lira?

EUR for transport, lodging, and tourist attractions. Lira (cash) for street food, taxis that don't use apps, tips, and small bazaar purchases.
